Working at home represented great challenges for companies from different economic sectors, since the security of the equipment in which the collaborators carry out their tasks was violated due to different circumstances, among which access to sensitive data from unsecured networks stands out.
The figure revealed by the Citrix trend study is alarming, since 53% of companies in Colombia suffered cyberattacks in the second half of 2021. Undoubtedly, one of the points that has most influenced the lack of computer security is the wrong management of passwords. In other words, weak keys represent 46% of computer security vulnerability cases.
The study further confirms that companies were not prepared for data migration and that IT security was not taken into account in the process.
To reduce the risk of computer security vulnerability, experts explain that cloud management services can be implemented, giving employees of different hierarchy’s secure access to applications and tools on their desktops, in order to continue operating from anywhere and device without putting the company at risk.
