Delivery Driver Job Responsibilities
Delivery driver, as the name suggests is that individual who is employed for the purpose of making deliveries of packages or goods to the customers. The delivery drivers have a set of responsibilities by the nature of the job position such as keeping track of the deadlines etc. A few samples of these responsibilities are being provided below for your reference purpose.
Sample Delivery Driver Job Responsibilities
- It is the responsibility of a delivery driver to deliver a certain package to the respective customer in prime condition and well within the deadline suggested.
- It is the responsibility of a delivery driver to get the signature of the customer to whom the delivery has been made (or the recipient) on the delivery invoice/ receipt.
- It is the responsibility of a delivery driver to take care of the delivery vehicle by cleaning it and maintain it in its best running condition.
- It is the responsibility of a delivery driver to check for any damages to the vehicle and send it for repairs if required.
- It is the responsibility of a delivery driver to keep check of all vitals of the vehicle such as engine oil, brake oil, brakes, radiator fluid levels etc.

- It is the responsibility of a delivery driver to report to the superiors about any delays in the delivery schedule due to reasons such as an accident in the way, traffic blockage etc.
