And to worry about all the details from the biggest to the tiniest will be too much for the couple to handle. This is why there is a need for a wedding coordinator to handle all these details relative to the wedding – before, during and after it. Some wedding coordinators charge much while others offer services at reasonable amounts. It all depends on the couple’s ability to negotiate.
Wedding Coordinator Job Responsibilities
- Meet with the couple about the details and requirements of the wedding
- Organize the event all the way through
- Plan the wedding according to the requirements and specifications of the couple
- Coordinate with other company like the restaurant for the reception, the supplier of flowers, the videographer and photographer, the wedding couturier and most especially the church or the venue where the wedding will be held
- Give advice or suggestions freely
- Contact the printing company for the invitations and other print outs to be made
- Act as liaison for the services needed – caterers, entertainers, transport, hotel accommodations, and others
- Supervise the circulation of the invitations and check on the invitees for their response to the invitation
- Prepare the guests list
- Calculate the number of attendees and make the necessary coordination with the venue for the church and reception, the caterers and transport service
- Hire valets and parking attendants as the case may require
- Coordinate with the church for the wedding ceremonies and all its requirements
- Manage , coordinate and solve problems during the whole duration of the wedding
- Coordinate all payments to be made
