Practical nursing refers to all those individuals who are licensed to work as nurses but under the direction and the supervision of registered nurses, physicians and doctors. They are at times referred to as licensed practical nurses. They can also assist the surgeons in surgery and have to perform many duties and responsibilities when working as a licensed practical nurse.
