Chiropractor Job Responsibilities
Chiropractors are the healthcare professionals who work on the musculoskeletal system of the human body. They are the professionals who diagnose, treat and prevent any mechanical disorders in the musculoskeletal system. They are responsible for containing and treating the effects of such mechanical disorders on the functioning of the patient’s nervous system and general health. With the basic task being to relieve the pain, increase mobility and ensure full health, the chiropractors have to fulfil a number of responsibilities.
Chiropractor Job Responsibilities
- It is the responsibility of the chiropractor to make a complete record of the patient’s medical history including all previous illnesses and injuries, also the general health and lifestyle of the patient.
- It is the responsibility of a chiropractor to take appropriate x-rays etc. and make assessments based on them.
- The chiropractor is responsible for conducting an exam on the patient while focusing on the posture and spine etc. Based on this exam he/ she have to make note of the posture quality and range of movement of various body parts/ body as a whole.
- The chiropractor is responsible for conducting other medicinal tests such as checking the blood pressure etc.
- The chiropractor is also responsible for making a diagnosis for the respective patient, based on the information gathered through various tests.
- Once the chiropractor has made the diagnosis it is his/ her responsibility to chart out a proper treatment plan for the respective patient.
- It is the responsibility of the chiropractor to put in place a patient management plan along with the treatment plan.
- It is the responsibility of the chiropractor to perform the adjustment procedures on the patient with the appropriate medical equipments or therapies.
- It is the responsibility of the chiropractor to advise his/ her patient on post treatment management and rehabilitation of the illness.
