The billing analyst position is a part of a firm or organizations accounting department. There are a varied number of responsibilities, duties and tasks associated with this particular position in the whole of the accounting section. He/ she have to perform tasks relating to the management of bills charging customers/ invoices, fees and other billing related records.

Billing Analyst Job Responsibilities
- A billing analyst is responsible for creating the billing invoices that are meant for charging the clients etc. for the product or service of the respective organization.
- A billing analyst is responsible for the typing, adding, calculating and editing all the bills relating to the organizations functions.
- A billing analyst is responsible for matching the invoices sent out by the company to that particular period’s balance sheet reports, from time to time.
- A billing analyst is responsible for figuring out any discrepancies in the matching of the invoices to the balance sheet; and also correcting them.
- A billing analyst is responsible (in some companies) for answering customer queries in regard with the invoices, invoice records, other bills etc.
- A billing analyst is responsible for the proper and smooth functioning of all the billing machines/ equipments in the organization.
- A billing analyst is responsible for getting a broken or damaged billing machine fixed or replaced.
- A billing analyst is responsible for making regular checks about the accuracy of the bills created.
- A billing analyst is responsible for managing the records of the invoices yet to be received i.e. the accounts receivable of the organization.
- A billing analyst is responsible for working on rectifying any errors that may arise in the records, in complete coordination with the organizations accounting department.
