Are you over 30 years old and don't have a job Five tips to get it

According to Marcela Rojas, career coach and headhunter, who also works at MaR Coaching Atelier, at this age there are people who grow and manage to profile themselves among the most outstanding executives, while others change their focus and start from scratch.

Also, in general, many experience their first existential crisis in the work part, or will be about to have it, because “priorities are redefined and what we really like is identified”, all this because they have had the opportunity to experience in the previous year’s different roles, tastes and strengths in a job.

“The 30 will be the great opportunity for you to catapult yourself towards your goals, those drawn after the crisis (if you lived it) and focused on what you really like to do,” says coach Rojas.

Before these situations, there are five specific tips that can help a 30-year-old get a job or improve the one they have:

1. Be proactive: it has to be a personal seal. You must investigate, on your own, the market in which you want to work, study and train in topics that add value and, from there, always seek to be that ‘tailor-made suit’ that fits the needs of the company that would be hiring you. Your knowledge, experience and attitude are key.

2. Have a personal brand: it is the footprint you leave on others. It’s why they remember you and the reason they would think of you for a job. It is made up of several factors:

– Your way of relating: teamwork, willingness to collaborate, cordiality and good manners.

– The quality of your work: always do as much as possible, verify quality and satisfaction, accept and fix mistakes, and attention to detail.

– Your image: how you speak and how you dress.

3. Know what you want: define your career goals, where you want to go and what you need to achieve them. This will allow you to establish the necessary steps to achieve this and focus your energy on the right actions.

4. Know who you are on a professional level: define your strengths, everything you are exceptional at and tell the world. It will know where you add value and adjust your speech clearly.

5 Networking: it’s time to call all those people with whom you have woven a friendship over the years. You must tell them to “lend you a hand”, tell them what you do and how you are a person who adds value.
